There are many forms of popular culture that construct society’s view on the role of women. We are now in an era of post-feminism which is leading into anti-feminism where women and men are against feminism all together. When looking at the workplace though, it is clear that feminism has played a large role is work standards and equal opportunities. When applying for jobs now, the application forms with usually have a footnote indicating that they are an equal opportunity employer and ask you if you’d like to volunteer your age, gender and ethnicity. It is obvious that feminist movements have prompted institutions to consider others and be ‘fair’ when finding employees etc.
