It started with a phone call from a pub owner to country music singer Kerry Kennedy, saying he could no longer afford to have the singer out to his pub to perform. That’s when Kerry decided to be a top bloke and do the concert for free.
When Kerry found out about this, he reached out on his personal Facebook page, and before he knew it, sponsors were jumping on board to help out wherever they could. These sponsors include Nolan’s Transport, CLH Haulage, Buy a Bale of Hay and loads more. The convoy will kick of from the Queensland Hotel in Goondiwindi, with a meet and greet on the Friday night before the convoy heads out to Mungindi on March 7th.
We’re looking for sponsors, so if you would like to jump on board with this great cause, whether it’s donating food or grocery items, fuel, prizes, or even your time, head over to the Drought Busters Facebook.
